The Enrico Catelli Aphasic Choir, part of the ALICe stroke association, will perform a concert on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., in the courtyard of the Casa Famiglia retirement home (Corso Dante 58, Cuneo), accompanied by musicians from the Fossano Musica Foundation. This free event, open to all, represents not only a musical opportunity but, above all, a living testimony of what music therapy can mean for those who have experienced stroke and communication disabilities firsthand.

The performance is part of Open Weekend 2025, organized by Casa Famiglia, a three-day program of initiatives designed to engage residents and break down the wall of isolation that sometimes surrounds senior living facilities. Opening the doors means welcoming the community in, but also, symbolically, allowing residents to leave and reconnect with city life. This year, the concert by the Coro degli Aphasici takes on an even more powerful meaning: bringing the voices of those who struggle every day to regain communication, expression, and full life. A message of empathy and concrete support for the seniors in the facility, especially those less self-sufficient. Among them is Dario, an aphasic choir member who—with his family—decided to organize this gift for his "fellow residents." Dario, a former instrumentalist who suffered a stroke, was able to tenaciously return to music thanks to the prodigy of the Coro degli Aphasici.
