A pulse of history in the heart of the city: Cuneo's Town Hall opens its doors
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the FAI Cuneo Delegation is offering an extraordinary visit to one of the city's most iconic and symbolic sites: the Cuneo Town Hall, a building rich in history and art, exceptionally open to the public thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Cuneo.
Built in the second half of the 17th century as a Jesuit college, the Town Hall is a veritable treasure trove of history: from the internal courtyard to the Hall of Honor, to the institutional spaces such as the recently restored Mayor's Office, from the Council Chamber to the extraordinary collection of paintings featuring works by Fontanesi, Camino, and Dalleani, each space tells a piece of Cuneo's history. The tour culminates in the Council Chamber, where the city's present and future take shape and where one can experience the civic commitment that has inspired the community for centuries.
The initiative, an integral part of FAI's fundraising efforts to support its mission of protecting and enhancing Italy's heritage, is a unique opportunity to rediscover the city's beating heart through the eyes of FAI storytellers, who will accompany visitors on an exciting journey through frescoed rooms, artworks, and historical memories.
Visiting hours:
Tours will take place with staggered departures, every 30 minutes, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, accompanied by FAI storytellers.
