The ZeroSei Pact is born: a territorial platform for cultivating the Cuneo of tomorrow
The Municipality of Cuneo officially presents the Zerosei Local Pact, a strategic and participatory tool designed to strengthen the educational community and promote the well-being of girls and boys in the early years of life. The Pact was presented on Thursday, April 16, at the 0-18 Library, in the presence of the institutions and key stakeholders involved.
The Pact was born as the result of the four-year project Cultura 0/6 crescere con cura (Culture 0/6 growing with care), launched in 2022 by the Municipality of Cuneo with the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo, and represents the evolution of an integrated effort that involved cultural, educational, social and healthcare sectors.
Together with Cultura 0/6 and the Territorial Pedagogical Coordination, the Pact is configured as one of the platform projects of the Municipality of Cuneo: structural devices capable of connecting skills, services and communities, going beyond the dimension of individual interventions.
The Municipality of Cuneo, the leader of the initiative, has created the Pact together with ASL CN1, AO Santa Croce and Carle di Cuneo, Consorzio Socio-Assistance del Cuneese and Dispari Teatro, with the aim of creating an open platform capable of bringing together all the active entities in the area who work on behalf of families with children aged 0 to 6.
The Pact marks an explicit shift from a project-based approach to an ecosystem-based approach: no longer isolated or temporary interventions, but a stable, integrated, and generative system capable of connecting different policies, practices, and stakeholders in a shared long-term vision. From this perspective, the Pact intends to strengthen an integrated territorial ecosystem, promote early interventions in care, growth, and development, foster collaboration between agencies and shared planning, and actively engage the community in supporting families.
At its core is the awareness that the early years of life represent a crucial stage for future development and well-being and that access to culture, integrated with health and education, can significantly impact quality of life.
The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Cuneo Patrizia Manassero, Councillor Cristina Clerico, Arianna Spigolon for Compagnia di San Paolo, Catterina Seia, President of the Cultural Welfare Center, and Stefania Chiavero, Director of the 0-18 Library, together with representatives of the signatory bodies.

The Cultura 0/6 network, which has now become a pact, is the result of this journey and is in turn a stepping stone towards a further level of awareness of how an affinity with books, theater, music, art, and history from a very early age positively impacts life prospects, including health-related ones. This experiment becomes a strategy, consolidates itself, and defines a city and its region," states Councilor Cristina Clerico.
The Pact is consistent with existing initiatives in the area, helping to build an increasingly structured, informed, and interconnected educational community.
How to Join:
The Pact is open to all local entities—public bodies, cultural organizations, cultural, educational, social, and healthcare organizations—who wish to actively contribute to the growth of the educational community. All information and how to join are available on the website cuneocultura.it.
Members commit to actively participate in the coordination process, promoting the objectives of the Pact, participating in coordination discussions, and carrying out at least one free activity annually, contributing to the development of shared projects.
