Modulations 2025 | Vertigo

The Modulazioni festival, a series of concerts showcasing ancient music in dialogue with contemporary music, reaches its fourth edition and this year is dedicated to Spanish music, its impact on other cultures, and the intoxicating power of its rhythms, sentiments, and virtuosity.

Along the same lines, Vértigo Modulations opens up even more decisively to dialogue with new generations of musicians, offering a vision of a transversal historical period and outlining unconventional creative connections and encounters.

This edition takes a curious and original look at lesser-known repertoire: from the Cancioneros of Chile, Peru, and Bolivia to Glosas , from the poignant and elegiac singing of the Canciones de Amigo to a captivating program of tarantellas and love songs, from the Mediterranean voice of the Sephardic diaspora to the sound of Scarlatti, in a whirlwind rondo between ancient keyboards and digital sound, thanks to the collaboration with the Mets and the Cuneo Conservatory. All this in the eternal spaces of the Museum of San Francesco and the Diocesan Museum.

Four concerts in June, three more in September, plus a workshop on the managerial aspects of the artistic profession and a seminar on the relationship between the Jesuits, music, and art.

Finally, for the youngest listeners, the exciting Modulations Kids! workshop concerts at the Rondò dei Talenti.
