Read poetry, rhymes and nursery rhymes, without forgetting the illustrations

A course for adults with Alessia Canducci, in four online sessions

The 0-18 Library, as part of the Born to Read project, offers an online in-depth course curated by Alessia Canducci, actress, accredited trainer of volunteer readers for the national “Born to Read” program and director at the service of books and stories.

Monday, November 3, 17, 24, and December 1, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (ONLINE)

The program aims to provide stimuli and opportunities for discussion, exchange, and experimentation, encouraging participants to independently select quality texts and to understand and apply reading techniques. The following topics will be explored:
1) How to read what to whom? Let's take stock: Let's identify the key elements for successful practice.
2) Voice and gaze: experiment with sounds, articulate words, find and discover the possibilities of one's own voice as it reads rhymes and narrative, exploring their tones, rhythms, and volumes.
3) Voices and gestures in play with the rhythms and sounds of rhymes: engage and play with texts by many different authors to increase knowledge and skills. Explore different ways to give voice and body to rhyming words.
4) Voice and body in picture books and silent books: experiment with reading and narrating words and images, applying tones, rhythms, volumes, and gestures.

This course is intended for parents, teachers, educators, librarians, and library volunteers who have already attended a level I course on early childhood literature.

How to participate: Free course, registration required at bibliotecazerodiciotto.eventbrite.it; registration is valid for the entire series of four online meetings. Open to residents of the Province of Cuneo.
