"Too Many Brides for Monssù Poret!" – dialect theater review

Giuseppe Poretti, a wealthy industrialist from Turin, is living his second marriage to Luisa in constant remembrance of his first wife, Giulietta. The admonitions of his lawyer brother, Enrico, to be more benevolent toward his current wife and less authoritarian toward his daughter, Rita, from his first marriage, are to no avail. He has promised her the son of his business partner, the awkward Placido, as his betrothed. Placido, along with his father Leone and mother Filomena, are regular guests at the Poretti home. The family atmosphere is increasingly tense and icy, and, as if that weren't enough, tragedy looms. An unexpected telegram arrives, disrupting the complicated daily routine of the Poretti household..
