The "Farci Comunità Educante" series of meetings for parents, educators, teachers, and caregivers for children aged 0-6 continues. The series, sponsored by the Municipality of Cuneo and curated by NOAU officina culturale, is aimed at parents, educators, and caregivers for children aged 0-6. The second meeting, titled "Stormy Emotions, Adults Listening," offers an in-depth look at managing emotional crises and oppositional behavior, analyzing the construction of consistent boundaries and the burden of fatigue and frustration that "tantrums" can trigger in adults.
The meeting will be held at the 0-18 Library in Cuneo, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Monday, May 11. The meeting will feature Dr. Veronica Lo Sapio, a psychologist and Adlerian-oriented psychotherapist, expert in school counseling and teacher and educator training.
A psychologist and psychotherapist, Lo Sapio holds a degree in Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology from the University of Milan-Bicocca and specializes in Adlerian psychotherapy. She provides clinical, psychodiagnostic, and psychotherapeutic services at the Cuneo branch of the "A. Adler" Institute of Individual Psychology, and has been a full member of Ce.MIA since 2007. She is also the co-founder and vice-director of the "Grandi" Center for Applied Psychology in Cuneo. In addition to her clinical practice, she has worked in the school setting for years, providing consulting, designing prevention interventions, and training for teachers and educators.
The meeting will address some key issues in early childhood education: how to contain emotional crises, address oppositional behavior, and establish clear and consistent boundaries without compromising relationships with children. The emotional dimension of adults, who often experience fatigue, frustration, or disorientation when faced with daily challenges, will also be addressed.
The discussion will offer practical tools and insights useful for understanding the meaning of so-called "tantrums," recognizing the value of frustration in growth processes, and strengthening an educational presence capable of supporting conflict without experiencing it as a rupture.
The initiative is part of the broader "Farci Comunità Educante" project, created to promote a shared culture of childhood and strengthen dialogue between families, educational services, and the local community.
The meeting is free and open to educators, teachers, parents, and local workers.
