THOSE YEARS OF CYCLE TOURING WERE FORMIDABLE

From Venice to Salzburg and Vienna, passing through Rome, the island of Elba, Strasbourg, Barcelona, ​​Arles, and many other destinations. Between 1993 and 2006, hundreds of students from the Peano Scientific High School in Cuneo, accompanied by their teachers, pedaled hundreds of kilometers on so-called "cicloturistiche" (cycling tours). Giuseppe "Gigio" Gallo and Silvia Baima, pioneers of the phenomenon along with Aldo Tichy, retrace their history together with Paola Miroglio and Emanuele Fontana, two of the many students who fell in love with cycling thanks to those experiences, and Sandro Vertamy, representing the participation of other schools in some editions.
