Everyone Dies follows Cosimo and Margherita, two people torn between what they wanted to do and what they failed to accomplish. For years they have been trying to stage Romeo and Juliet, but every attempt stalls, like many of their life choices. Constantly engaging with Shakespeare's text and their own inability to "get to the bottom of it," the show questions the meaning of love, failure, and everyday performance. Romeo and Juliet thus becomes a distorting mirror of the present: an absolute ideal of fulfillment that contrasts with our difficulty in achieving even the simplest things. An ironic and bitter dialogue about what remains unfinished, about missed opportunities, and about all the lives lived only halfway.
