Davide Carnevali is a contemporary playwright, highly regarded for his ability to blend different languages ​​and theatrical forms, and known for his innovative approach to social and psychological themes. His work, Confession of a Former President , explores the theme of power and its moral and personal implications.

The President represents the second stage, a second piece of an ideal mosaic after Every Brilliant Thing from the work of Duncan Macmillan, which instead had a clear gaze towards an emotional dimension linked to universal themes and the meaning of life.
