Claudio Monteverdi's madrigal addresses timely themes: war, prejudice, and love. The story of Tancredi and Clorinda is an episode from Torquato Tasso's Gerusalemme Liberata. The epic poem narrates the events of the First Crusade, where Tancredi, a Christian knight, and Clorinda, a Muslim warrior, clash in a duel. Tancredi, in love with Clorinda, fails to recognize her and kills her.

Puzzle – The Second Step | ResExtensa Dance Company
A labyrinth of voices, narratives in dance that meet, intertwine, clash, and accompany one another. Each time they tell a new relationship, a particular story, each blend creates a new alchemy, a special and unique tale. Drawing inspiration from Calvino's works, Puzzle is like the encounter at the Castle of Crossed Destinies, like the sharing in the Tavern: a series of specific and personal tales, drawing on the same finite number of elements, to multiply into infinite new and different stories. To each, their own voice; to each spectator, their own interpretation. Italo Calvino offers us an infinite starting point, a puzzle, an enigma that challenges every reader to an active and proactive exercise of awareness. Puzzle embraces the challenge and brings the questions back to the body, to movement, to encounter, to interlocking with the other.
