Thirst for power, repressed violence, ambition. These are the themes of The Story of a Wild Boar: Something About Richard III, written and directed by Gabriel Calderón, the award-winning Uruguayan playwright and director.
A monologue that is an original "variation on a theme" of Shakespeare's work, in which the boundaries between eras and identities become blurred, against the backdrop of the same reality.
Having performed on stages around the world for twenty years, Calderón reveals the dangers of the stage, a theater of violent passions, not always merely simulated, entrusting Francesco Montanari with the leading role.
