"Stormy emotions, adults listening": the "making us an educational community" series continues with meetings for educators and parents aged 0-6
The Farci Comunità Educante series, a series of meetings aimed at parents, educators, teachers, and adult caregivers for children aged 0-6, continues. Sponsored by the Municipality of Cuneo and curated by NOAU officina culturale, the new program, titled "Stormy Emotions, Adults Listening," offers two opportunities for discussion and in-depth discussion dedicated to one of the most delicate aspects of the educational experience: managing tantrums, frustration, and intense emotions in young children, and the emotional burden these situations can trigger in adults.
The meetings will be held at the 0-18 Library in Cuneo, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Monday, April 13th and Monday, May 11th.
The first meeting will feature Dr. Alessandra Degioanni, a psychologist specializing in perinatal psychology and parenting support; the second will feature Dr. Veronica Lo Sapio, a psychologist and psychotherapist.
Stormy Emotions, Adults Listening. Managing oppositional behavior, containing emotional crises, setting limits, and enforcing rules are daily experiences that deeply engage those who care for children. It's not just about addressing what happens in young children, but also recognizing and supporting what is triggered in adults: fatigue, confusion, feelings of helplessness, and frustration. This program stems from the need to provide a space for shared reflection on these dynamics, to explore how to build an educational presence capable of embracing emotions, managing conflict, and respecting boundaries without experiencing them as a breakdown in relationships. During the two sessions, we will explore some central themes of early childhood education: the meaning of so-called "tantrums," the role of frustration in growth processes, the role of adult emotional regulation, and the value of limits as tools for orientation and protection. The goal is to offer participants insights, insights into awareness, and useful tools for addressing recurring situations in family and educational life. The first meeting will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, led by Dr. Alessandra Degioanni, a psychologist specializing in perinatal psychology and parenting support. A second meeting will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, with a presentation by Dr. Veronica Lo Sapio, a psychologist and psychotherapist. This initiative is part of the broader Farci Educating Community program, created to strengthen dialogue between families, educational services, schools, and the local community, promoting a shared culture of childhood and care. Because rules aren't walls that separate, but safe boundaries that help us grow and feel protected.
