Online in-depth course for adults

The 0-18 Library, as part of the Born to Read project, offers an online in-depth course curated by Irene Greco, bookseller, creator of Leggimiprima and author.

Wednesday, February 19th, 26th, March 12th, 19th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (ONLINE)

A journey into the world of children's publishing, to better understand the diverse options available and reflect on the following topics: What does "reading" mean for children aged 0-3? What are the main publishing options, and how can we recognize quality criteria? From concept books (shapes, numbers, colors, opposites, etc.) to playbooks, to the most entertaining and moving stories: what are the most beautiful publications, and what resources do they offer for the relationship between childhood and the worlds of paper? Is it possible to read with our fingers, hands, and feet? Is it necessary to always remain still and quiet while listening? Can we play, run, and dance even within the pages of books? What are emotions? Fear, sadness, anger: why do we fear the disturbing emotions of stories? Why, instead, are stories, from birth, irreplaceable allies for the growth of every aspect of an individual?

This course is intended for parents, teachers, educators, librarians, and library volunteers.

How to participate: Free course, registration required at bibliotecazerodiciotto.eventbrite.it; registration is valid for the entire series of four online meetings. Open to residents of the Province of Cuneo.
