The Cuneo Civic Library is preparing to move to the new Esseci, but before closing its doors on Via Cacciatori delle Alpi, we want to pay tribute to those who have brought this place to life: our readers.

The last day of opening will be May 30th (with extended hours: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm). On that date, we invite you to participate in a photoshoot to forever be a part of this library's history. A professional photographer will capture you in your favorite spot (among the sets we'll suggest). The Library will then remain closed until the inauguration of Esseci at the end of September.

How does it work?

  • The final shot: which part of the library do you want to remember forever? Sign up and have your photo taken in your favorite spot (from among the locations we'll suggest; we'll proceed on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may have to wait a bit).
  • A tip for the future: nominate a book that you think every future Esseci reader should discover. Tell us the title and author, and list four characteristics that characterize it. These will be the clues other readers will use to recognize and choose it from a special selection of blind books (blind dates with a book) for the opening of Esseci.
  • The memory: the snapshot, if you like, will become part of a collective album: a portrait of a community of readers, published on the Civic Libraries' social media channels during the summer, to accompany the transition to the new location without losing touch with what we were.

To participate in the initiative, we invite you to register using the form by clicking here.

We're waiting for you!
