PARENTS GROW

Meeting with Lorenzo Gasparrini

Thursday, March 26, 6 • Hall of Honour of the Town Hall (Via Roma 8, Cuneo) • Free, online reservations

" Growing Up as Parents: Designing a World of United and Free People ," Lorenzo Gasparrini 's latest book (Einaudi), is not a manual for becoming good parents: no amount of training truly prepares us to raise a human being. It is a journey we undertake together to uncover and dismantle the legacy of a society that cultivates imbalances and divisions, to become aware of them and to spread awareness. For this uncovering, Gasparrini's toolbox, in addition to his experience as a father, includes feminist philosophies: a vast resource for addressing hierarchies, affectivity, and equal roles, and a valuable tool for recognizing conditioning, fighting for respect for differences, and educating the men and women of tomorrow about freedom.

Interview the author, Michela Ferrero.

Lorenzo Gasparrini was born in Rome in 1972. A feminist philosopher, educator, and educator, he leads seminars, workshops, and is the author of numerous essays and journal articles. His books on gender issues include: NO. About Rejection, How We Suffer It, How We Act, and Its Essentially Male Problem (effequ 2019), I'm Not a Sexist, But... Sexism in Contemporary Language (Tlon 2019), Becoming Men. Male Relationships Without Oppression (Settenove 2020), We Will Warm Ourselves by the Fire of Your Tails of Straw (D editore 2023), Can Boys Be Feminists? (Settenove 2023), Philosophy: Masculine Singular (Tlon 2024). He has published Parents We Grow Up. Designing a World of United and Free People (2025) for Einaudi.
