ONSTAGE (DON'T STAY WATCHING)

OnStage (don't watch) is a Social and Community Theatre project that uses theatrical language as a tool for learning, participation, and social transformation to combat LGBTQIA+ discrimination.

Created by the Social Community Theatre Centre (SCT Centre) in collaboration with Teatro Popolare Europeo ETS and Compagnia Il Melarancio, the project is funded by the University of Turin as part of the Public Engagement call, with the support of the Municipality of Turin and the involvement of numerous university departments.

At the heart of the initiative is the interactive show OnStage, a game-performance inspired by the Game of the Goose: the audience, divided into teams, actively participates by crossing boxes that activate theatrical content, quizzes, historical facts, and real-life testimonies, in an engaging experience that stimulates critical thinking and collective reflection on the often invisible mechanisms of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

A project that unites theater, research, and community, transforming the stage into a shared space for awareness and discussion.
