"People must learn to hate. And if they can learn to hate, then they can also be taught to love. Because in human nature, love is a more natural emotion than hate." This reflection begins the story of Nelson Mandela, a man who always believed that no one is born hating another because of the color of their skin, their background, or their religion. Born into a nation oppressed by the racism and violence of apartheid, Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years in a two-by-two-meter cell. But that system, far from subduing him, offered him the opportunity to develop a profound humanity, transforming his imprisonment into a journey of inner growth that would elevate him among the great spirits of human history.
