My Your Ours – The Public Bench – Pandemonium Theatre

How can we teach children, even the youngest ones, the pleasure of sharing, the beauty of democracy, and the value of the res publica? Certainly not through heavy lessons, filled with difficult words and rhetoric. Rather, it's through the entertaining interactions of two funny characters competing for the exclusive use of a public bench. Through mutual jokes, comical situations, and very few words, the two discover that collaboration is better than arguing, that playing, singing, and dancing together is more enriching than opposing each other, and that a simple bench can become a meeting place rather than a space to be occupied alone.
