Knock three times

On Thursday 8 May the Civic Library hosts the presentation of Riccardo Romagnoli 's new novel .

The man gets back into the car, lies down, and waits for the end. The pain in his soul has overwhelmed him to the point where he can no longer tell the difference between dream and reality. He can't make sense of that last sentence, which keeps ringing in his ears. He curls up, puts his head in his hands, and rocks in the seat. The entire universe envelops him with its immense emptiness, a feeling that reaches all the way to his stomach.
Suddenly, however, everything becomes clear. He straightens the seat and delicately removes the photo from the steering wheel. Then, with a screech of tires, he returns to the road that leads him back down to the valley. Now he knows what he must do.

Captain Alfredo Miccichelli, known to all as Miccia, has a nickname that seems at odds with his patient and thoughtful nature, but which actually hides subtle truths about his character. Alongside him is Ivan, a brilliant but undisciplined colleague. Together, amidst misdirections, internal tensions, and an enemy who always seems one step ahead, they must deploy all their wits to solve an increasingly obscure case, which will take them beyond the Ligurian border, into the Maritime Alps of Cuneo.
