Fourth screening of the documentary film series Itineraries, Encounters, Approaches, curated by the Zaratan collective. The film being shown is Where Do I Place Myself? Living as Refugees in Italy. Documentary by Andrea Fantino (87 minutes), in collaboration with FIERI.

Six characters, three locations, one country: Italy.
From north to south, from Cuneo to Castel Volturno, passing through Rome, "Where Do I Place My Place?" collects the testimonies of refugees from sub-Saharan Africa who share their existential journey, conditioned by the precariousness of the Italian and European reception systems.
"Luck" and "will"—the cornerstones of one's journey, according to one of the documentary's protagonists—seem to dissolve in an era of mobility and constraints, where institutions often fail to help and integration into a new society often rests in the hands of individuals capable of making a difference, or in the possibility of becoming fully-fledged political actors, sparking a struggle to conquer their own space and rights.
The documentary is linked to the international research project Trafig, promoted by Fieri, and features, in addition to the documentary maker, researchers Pietro Cingolani,
Milena Belloni, and Giuseppe Grimaldi.
