This is the second in a series of meetings for parents, educators, and teachers of children aged 0-6. Sponsored by the Municipality of Cuneo and curated by NOAU officina culturale, the initiative aims to foster a network of dialogue, reflection, and shared growth between schools, families, and the local community, celebrating childhood as a common good.

"Growing Together: Observing, Listening, Accompanying" will feature Paola Molina, full professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Turin. The meeting will focus on the importance of building a genuine partnership between families and educators to nurture the growth of children together.

A meeting dedicated to the value ofmindful observation as a fundamental tool in educational relationships, enabling us to truly understand children's needs, grasp their signals—often subtle but profound—and respond with empathy, attention, and educational intentionality. Through examples drawn from everyday experience, theoretical reflections, and practical tools, the meeting offers a deeper exploration of the importance oflistening and dialogue in various educational contexts: home, nursery, and preschool. Observation is presented not as a neutral or purely technical act, but as a relational practice that engages the adult, the child, and the context, fostering processes of mutual understanding and shared construction of meaning.

The discussion will also focus on the topic of family participation, a key element for the quality of educational services for children aged 0–6. The speaker at the meeting will be Paola Molina, Full Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the University of Turin (DIST – Interuniversity Department of Territorial Sciences, Projects and Policies). An expert in early childhood development and observation in educational contexts, Paola Molina has been conducting research and training for educators, pedagogists, and coordinators for years, collaborating with public bodies and schools to promote quality, reflection, and innovation in early childhood services.

The focus of the meeting draws on the insights contained in the volume "La partecipazione delle famiglie nello 0-6" (FrancoAngeli), edited by Paola Molina together with Gianni Nuti, which explores the role of educational alliances between services and parents, underlining how observation, communication, and shared responsibility are essential dimensions for supporting children's development and well-being.

Farci Comunità Educante will continue in the following months with one meeting per month.

All meetings are free and open to educators, teachers, parents, and local workers. Reservations are recommended: https://forms.gle/TjNP3SL5mY87bnJy9

The initiative is developed thanks to the collaboration between two projects: Territorial Pedagogical Coordination and Culture 0/6: growing with care.
