Geppetto
GEPPETTO is an actor-led theater production that reinterprets Carlo Collodi's The Adventures of Pinocchio through the figure of his father, focusing on the artisan's craft as a creative, narrative, and profoundly human act.
Set in a workshop, the production transforms the carpenter's tools into narrative elements: planes, shavings, and small tools become scenic suggestions capable of evoking Pinocchio's adventures without ever illustrating them directly. This poetic and essential approach prioritizes the viewer's imagination and gives the story an intimate and universal dimension.
Through Geppetto's gaze, profound and timely themes emerge: the loneliness of the elderly craftsman, the desire for fatherhood, the bond between generations, and the saving power of stories. A tale that also speaks of Collodi's Tuscany, a land of manual skills and traditions, and that celebrates the uniquely human ability to transform matter into dreams.
Entrance fee: 6 euros, reduced 5 euros for children under 10.
