Einstein – The Dark Matter

What is the meaning of time, the space of an action, and its logic? Can the reality and logic of our actions be only apparent? In what form, dynamics, in what time and space do they take shape? Einstein – The Dark Matter is the third installment of Ergo Sum, a three-year project dedicated to great thinkers of our civilization (Montaigne, Leonardo, and now Einstein) who have explored the concept of existence. In this new work, Raphael Bianco's choreographic research seeks to push beyond the physical, drawing inspiration from the unsettling and brilliant insights of the great Albert Einstein. It attempts to probe the very concept of reality through a complex process of choreographic deconstruction inextricably linked to the evolution of ever-changing spatial geometry. The entire work is based on a process of movement capture (body, breath, and gesture) that allows the dancers to generate the sound environment in real time through specific sensors designed by artist-musician Andrea Giomi.
