Holy shit

PORCA MISERIA (PORCA MISERIA) tells the story of an actor's life and, through it, explores one of the deepest fears of our time: that of becoming poor. At the center is Lui, a retired actor, full of anger and resentment, who dialogues with Ulysses, a silent and judgmental figure, a symbol of poverty. Between confession and fiction, reality and projection, the protagonist depicts the uneasiness of those who fear losing everything: job, social status, identity.

The text is born from a research journey involving personal experiences, sociological and philosophical readings, and direct observation of a reality marked by inequality. Poverty becomes a tangible presence on the streets, in supermarkets, on the outskirts of cities, and in our consciences.

Between irony and anguish, the show pays homage to humble yet resilient theater, built on relationships and memory. A monologue inhabited by multiple voices, a civil and poetic reflection on the value of dignity and the possibility of recognizing oneself in others. PORCA MISERIA doesn't provide answers, but it raises necessary questions, inviting us to look without averting our gaze.
