Concert at the conservatory

On Monday, June 8th, at 4:00 p.m., the first concert of the 19th edition of the Accademie in Valle summer music festival will take place at the Ghedini State Conservatory in Cuneo, featuring a concert by Antonio Capolupo.

Antonio Capolupo is the principal clarinet soloist of the Teatro Regio Orchestra in Turin, after having been principal clarinet soloist of the Belgian National Opera “La Monnaie” in Brussels for 8 years from 2016 to 2024.
He also won the principal clarinet competition at the Teatro Real Symphony Orchestra in Madrid in 2022, and the principal clarinet competition at the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in Sweden in 2014. He has also collaborated with the National Orchestra of France as principal clarinet under the direction of Maestro Daniele Gatti, with the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, and as a soloist with the “La Monnaie” Orchestra in Brussels under the direction of Maestro Alain Altinoglu and the Toulon Opera in France.
He also performed at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2022 with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, at the Salzburg Festival, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, at the Carl Orff Saal in Munich, at the National Auditorium in Madrid, at the Giovanni Agnelli Auditorium in Turin, and at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He has won awards in 11 international competitions, including first prize at the Marco Fiorindo International Clarinet Competition, first prize at the Città di Chieri International Clarinet Competition, second prize at the Saverio Mercadante International Clarinet Competition, and second prize at the AudiMozart International Competition.
He regularly holds masterclasses in Italy and abroad, including those held in the Netherlands, at the Beijing Central Conservatory in China, in Greece, in Belgium, and at the Vittorio Bellini Conservatory in Catania. Having graduated with honors from the "G. Verdi" Conservatory of Turin in 2012, he subsequently studied with internationally renowned clarinetists, including Alessandro Carbonare at the "Santa Cecilia" National Academy in Rome, Calogero Palermo, and Fabrizio Meloni. Antonio is also a collaborating artist with the major clarinet companies Selmer Paris and Vandoren France.
