Where do we come from?
This is the age-old question that runs through Marco Paolini's entire show, linked to the "La Fabbrica del Mondo" project.

Ancestors explores the evolution of our species through imagined encounters with our grandparents' grandparents, the 8,000 generations that connect us to our common ancestors, the small African nucleus from which we descend.

Orality, epic, theater, and fiction intertwine to demonstrate that none of us is alone, because within the genome of every individual there are traces and coded information of all those who preceded him.
